State police at Clearfield

  • An incident of harassment occurred Friday on Nelson Road in Graham Township. During the incident, a 49-year-old Morrisdale man allegedly punched the victim in the head area. Charges will be filed against him through the district court, state police said.
  • A two-vehicle accident occurred Friday on Birch Street in Cooper Township. Amber N. Hughes of Bowie, Md., was traveling east when she lost control of her vehicle on the snow-covered roadway. Her vehicle subsequently impacted head-on with a vehicle operated by Clifford L. Leskovansky of Morrisdale. No injuries were reported and both operators were wearing their seatbelts, state police said.
  • An incident of criminal mischief occurred Friday on Coons Road in Goshen Township. During the incident, someone allegedly used a pry bar to damage three hasp and padlocks. The incident remains under investigation at this time, state police said.
  • An incident of disorderly conduct occurred Friday on Goodrow Lane in Bradford Township. During the incident, a 69-year-old Woodland man allegedly started an argument with the victim over the way he plowed snow. When the argument became heated, the man allegedly rammed the victim’s four-wheeler with his pick-up truck. Charges were filed through the district court as a result, state police said.
  • An incident of retail theft occurred Jan. 16 on Main Street in Coalport Borough. During the incident, three people allegedly removed $30 worth of merchandise from the Minit Mart. The incident remains under investigation at this time, state police said.

  • A DUI-related accident occurred Saturday on Deer Creek Road in Morris Township. Further, a 36-year-old Morrisdale man was traveling west when he lost control of his vehicle. His vehicle subsequently exited the roadway and struck a snow bank and a tree. Upon investigation state police found the man was under the influence of alcohol and placed him under arrested for DUI.
  • An incident of identity theft occurred Saturday on Susquehanna Avenue in Curwensville Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly obtained the victim’s social security number and used it to file an income tax return with the Internal Revenue Service. The incident remains under investigation at this time, state police said.

State police at DuBois

  • An incident of simple assault/harassment occurred Friday on Crawford Road in Warsaw Township. During the incident, two Brockway residents allegedly assaulted each other. Both were taken into custody and lodged in the Jefferson County Jail to await arraignment on the charges, state police said.
  • An incident of harassment/criminal mischief occurred Jan. 23 on Rattlesnake Road in Snyder Township. During the incident, a Brockway man was traveling westbound and the alleged victim was traveling behind him. A vehicle traveling behind the alleged victim had two occupants who witnessed the incident. The accused man pulled over to the right side of the roadway and stopped near Siple Road and let two vehicles pass him; he then pulled out and separately passed each vehicle. Once he was positioned in front of the alleged victim, he slammed on his brakes, stopping and blocking the roadway and path of both vehicles. He exited his vehicle to approach the alleged victim who put their window down and he hit their driver’s side mirror, damaging it. The man proceeded to punch the alleged victim on the left side of his head/face and yelled at him for tailgating before getting back into his vehicle and fleeing the scene. Charges have been filed against the man, state police said.
  • An incident of harassment/assault occurred Sunday on Williams Road in Warsaw Township. Further, the victim alleged to state police that an 18-year-old Reynoldsville woman slapped her in the face during an argument. The appropriate charges were filed against the woman, state police said.
  • An accident occurred Monday on Interstate 80 westbound in Washington Township. Derek M. Pyne of DuBois lost control of his vehicle and crashed. He wasn’t injured and was wearing his seatbelt. Pyne was cited for the accident.
  • An incident of burglary occurred sometime between Jan. 14 and Jan. 28 at a Winslow Township residence. During the incident, someone allegedly removed a revolver owned by the victim and fled the scene.

State police at Philipsburg

  • An incident of underage drinking occurred Sunday on Jesse Street in Rush Township. Further, state police allegedly found two teens in possession of alcohol, which they had consumed. Both teens were charged for the incident, state police said.

Clearfield Borough

  • Police assisted a motorist along Woodland Road who locked keys inside their vehicle.
  • Police have initiated an investigation into an alleged theft incident. During the incident, police said a known male removed money from a drive-thru bank deposit. The male, police said, then left the scene after obtaining the money.
  • Police assisted with a reported fire along Witmer Street. Further, police said a tenant was working on the furnace, which caused the alarm to other tenants.
  • Police responded to Hannah Street for a vehicle blocking an alley. Upon arrival police located the person who had the vehicle. He was able to move the vehicle from the alley.
  • Police responded to an address along East Cherry Street for an activated alarm. Upon arrival police located an employee who had accidentally set the alarm off.
  • Police assisted a motorist who had become stuck along East Sixth Street while attempting to back out of a driveway.
  • Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident that occurred along East Cherry Street. Police were able to locate the operator of the vehicle that fled the scene.
  • Police responded to the area of Park Avenue and South Fourth Street for a possible waterline break. Police notified the municipal authority about the complaint.
  • Police responded to a minor accident on East Locust Street. Upon arrival police found the individuals had exchanged the appropriate information.
  • Police stopped a vehicle along South Second Street after determining its operator did not have a valid driver’s license. Police also found the male was consuming alcohol and on probation. He was taken to the Clearfield County Jail.
  • Police were called regarding individuals parking in a private lot. Police responded and issued parking tickets for the violation.
  • Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident on Turnpike Avenue. Upon arrival police found that the actor did leave a note with the appropriate contact information.
  • Lawrence Township police were assisted with an alleged fight involving four to five people.
  • Police would like to ask that the owners of vehicles parked along the streets for longer than 48 hours to move them for snow removal.

Lawrence Township

  • Police received a report about a two-vehicle accident on the Clearfield – Shawville Highway.
  • Police were requested to check the welfare of a motorist who was allegedly driving carelessly on the Clearfield – Shawville Highway.
  • Police received a report about a disabled motorist on 21st
  • Police received a report about a vehicle that was stuck in a snow bank on Daisy Street. Further, police assisted the motorist.
  • Police received a report about an individual who possibly needed assistance and who was allegedly driving recklessly through various locations. Upon making contact with the individual, police found they weren’t in need of any assistance.
  • Police received a report about an alleged theft from a local business. The incident remains under investigation, police said.
  • Police received a report about an alarm in the area of the Clearfield – Shawville Highway. However, police were cancelled prior to arrival at the scene.
  • Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct at the Economy Inn. The investigation is ongoing with charges to be filed, police said.
  • Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle at Sheetz.
  • Police received a report about roadways being drifted over from windy conditions. Further, police notified the township road crew.
  • Police received a report about an alleged retail theft incident at Dollar General. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
  • Police received a report about a single-vehicle accident on Whiskey Hill Road. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was off of the roadway, police said.
  • Police received a report about an alleged fight at a business on Route 879. All actors fled the scene prior to police arrival.
  • Police received a report about a 9-1-1 hang-up call. Upon investigation police found everything was OK.

  • Police responded to the area of Route 879 and the Park Avenue on-ramp. Further, the operator of a vehicle had driven off of the roadway due to weather conditions. No injuries were reported, police said.

Decatur Township

  • Police received a report about a single-vehicle accident on Spring Street. Upon investigation police found an Osceola Mills resident was traveling south and swerved to miss a deer. She subsequently lost control of her vehicle and struck the guiderail, causing damage.
  • Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment. Further, a Houtzdale man told police he was getting unwanted calls from a known man. Police made contact with the accused man and warned him of his actions.
  • Police received a noise complaint that occurred in the area of the Houtzdale ball field. At the scene, police made contact with juveniles who were playing and asked them to keep the noise down.
  • Police received a report about an alleged protection from abuse order violation in the parking lot of the Peebles Plaza. Upon investigation police determined that no violation had occurred and cleared the scene.
  • Police received a report about an active burglary alarm at a Decatur Township business. Upon arrival police found it was a false alarm.
  • Police located all-terrain vehicles being driven in the roadway in Houtzdale. Further, police will cite the actors for their violations.
  • Police received several reports about parking complaints in Houtzdale Borough. Further, police issued tickets as a result of the complaints.
