State police at Clearfield

  • State police responded to a two-vehicle accident Saturday on Shiloh Road in Bradford Township. A vehicle operated by Russell J. Butler of Woodland was traveling north while another vehicle operated by Bobbi J. Shirey-Rebok was traveling south. Butler’s vehicle crossed over into the southbound lane, which caused Shirey-Rebok to abruptly swerve into the northbound lane to avoid collision. However, Butler’s vehicle returned to the northbound lane, causing a head-on collision. Shirey-Rebok was wearing her seatbelt; however, she was transported to the Clearfield Penn Highlands emergency room for treatment. Butler was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained minor head injuries for which he refused treatment, according to state police. Towing services assisted state police at the scene. Butler was cited for the accident.

State police at DuBois

  • On Saturday a Thompson Center .338 Win Mag with a vortex scope was found in the DuBois Reservoir along Anderson Creek Road. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
  • State police reported an incident of DUI that occurred Aug. 20 on Keen Court Drive in Sandy Township. Upon investigation troopers determined that a 21-year-old male allegedly operated a vehicle while under the influence of marijuana.
  • State police reported a DUI/drug incident that occurred Aug. 19 on South Brady Street in DuBois City. Upon investigation troopers determined that a 19-year-old male allegedly operated a vehicle while under the influence of marijuana. He was also found to be in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, state police said.
  • State police reported an incident of DUI that occurred Aug. 27 on East Main Street in Reynoldsville Borough. Upon investigation troopers determined a 39-year-old male allegedly operated a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
  • State police reported an incident of DUI that occurred Sept. 3 on East Main Street in Reynoldsville Borough. Upon investigation troopers determined a 26-year-old male allegedly operated a motor vehicle while under the influence of multiple drugs.
  • State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Sept. 3 on Daffodil Road in Winslow Township. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged multiple pieces of construction equipment.

Lawrence Township

  • Police were called to assist a disabled motorist at the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet.
  • Police received a report about a traffic hazard on Patton Street, where a wire was down across the roadway.
  • Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment by communications.
  • Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident at the JCPenney store.
  • Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred on a school bus.
  • Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct on Plaza Drive.
  • Police provided public assistance in the area of the Clearfield-Shawville Highway.
  • Police received a report about an alleged incident of assault that occurred at a local establishment.
  • Police received a report about alleged thefts that occurred at a local establishment. Further, police identified the suspect and placed them in county jail on charges stemming from the incident.
  • Police responded to the Super 8 Motel to check the welfare of two children who were reportedly unattended in the lobby. Police were able to locate the mother who admitted to leaving the children unattended. Charges are currently pending at this time police said.
  • Police received a report about a suspicious person in the area of Fire Tower Road.
  • Police assisted the probation department in the area of Montgomery Run Road.
  • Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief that occurred at Wal-Mart. Police obtained surveillance and subsequently cited the actor.
  • Police received a report about a 911 hang-up call on Mount Joy Road.
  • Police received a report about an alleged theft in the area of West Pauline Drive.
  • Police responded to a barking dog complaint along Park Avenue Extension.
  • Police responded to an activated alarm on Riverview Road. It was found to be a false alarm, police said.
  • Police received a report about a disorderly female in the area of Valley View Drive. She left prior to police arrival, however.
  • Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief in which a private gate was damaged in the Glen Richey area.
  • Police received a report about an alleged trespassing incident at a local business.
  • Police received a report about food items that were allegedly thrown onto several vehicles in a private driveway.
  • Police received a report about an accident at Wal-Mart.
  • Police received a report about an accident at BP.
  • Police received a report about an alleged domestic disturbance at the Lawrence Park Village.
  • Police received a report about a loose dog in the area of Daisy Street.
  • Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute on Hill Street Extension.
  • Police responded to a psychological emergency.
  • Police received a report about a custody issue.
  • Police received a report about a civil dispute in the Glen Richey area.
  • Police received a report about alleged child abuse at the Lawrence Park Village.
  • Police received a report about an alleged incident of terroristic threats in the area of Coal Hill Road.
  • Police received a report about a suspicious person in the area of South Second Street.
  • Police conducted a warrant service in the area of the Clearfield-Curwensville Highway.
  • Police received a report about a suspicious person in the area of Valley View Drive. However, police were unable to locate anyone.

DuBois City

  • Police reported that a 32-year-old Louisiana man was found passed out in a vehicle Friday in the parking lot of the Comfort Inn and Suites.  His vehicle had come to a rest against another vehicle, which caused minor damage, police said. He was arrested for DUI and placed in the Clearfield County Jail.
  • Police reported that a residential alarm was activated at a residence in the 300 block of South Jared Street on Friday. Officers checked the residence and determined it was secured. A key holder then responded and officers checked the interior of the residence and everything was found to be OK.
  • On Friday police were dispatched to the 100 block of Myrtle Avenue for a report about a 15-year-old juvenile who was being unruly.  Upon arrival the mother advised police that her daughter had calmed down and she didn’t need any assistance.
  • Police reported that a residential alarm was activated at a residence Friday in the 200 block of East Weber Avenue.  Upon arrival police found the alarm was set off accidentally by a family member.
  • On Friday police reported that an alarm was activated at Tuning Accounting, located in the 300 block of Hamor Street.  Upon arrival police found everything was OK.
  • Police reported that an alarm was activated at Timberland Federal Credit Union on Friday.  Upon arrival police found that the alarm had been set off by an employee accidentally.
  • Police reported that an alarm was activated Saturday at the U.S. Post Office located on Hoover Avenue.  Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
  • On Saturday a DuBois woman reported that sometime overnight, someone entered her unlocked car while it was parked in the 300 block of West Long Avenue and rummaged through her glove box. However, it didn’t appear anything had been taken, police said in the report.
  • Police were called to the first block of North Church Street after a report about an intoxicated male who was allegedly throwing things from a vehicle Saturday.  Upon arrival police located a 37-year-old DuBois man, and he was arrested for public drunkenness. He was also found to have a warrant; he was subsequently placed in the Clearfield County Jail.

Sandy Township

  • As a 48-year-old DuBois man was turning onto Midway Drive from Shaffer Road on Friday, he hit a vehicle driven by a 25-year-old DuBois man that was stopped at the stop sign. No injuries were reported, and both vehicles were towed from the scene, police said.
  • Police received a report about an elk, possibly in distress, walking along Bee Line Highway on Saturday. The Game Commission was notified, police said in their report.
  • Police received a report about an intoxicated woman who was knocking on the door of a Wilson Avenue residence Sunday. Upon arrival officers located a 46-year-old Reynoldsville woman who was allegedly highly intoxicated, and she told police she wanted a ride home.  She was transported to her son’s home on Scribner Avenue and released into his custody.
  • Police received a report about a man lying along the road on Bee Line Highway on Sunday. Officers located the man and discovered he was traveling to Philadelphia and stopped to rest.  The situation was handled without incident, police said.
  • Police received a report about a false alarm at ABCS Computers on Sunday.
  • A Beagle/Basset Hound mix was found at Pilot Travel Center on Sunday. The dog was turned over to the county dog law officer, police said.
  • On Sunday a 65-year-old Time to Bid Road woman reported that someone had tampered with the lock on her shed. It did not appear that the suspect was able to gain entry and nothing was missing, police said.
