Clearfield Borough

  • Police, along with the fire department, responded to a reported structure fire on West Front Street. Police said it was determined there wasn’t a fire and only a faulty stove.
  • Police responded to a minor accident along North Second Street.
  • Police received a complaint about a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed along Daisy Street. Police will patrol the area and cite any violators.
  • Police responded after a report about a mental health patient who was causing a disturbance on Turnpike Avenue. Upon arrival to the scene, police were able to handle the situation.
  • Police assisted emergency personnel with a male who was slumped over on a couch along Front Street. Upon arrival, police found the male was sleeping while waiting for a ride to Dubois.

Curwensville Borough

  • Police received a report about a person(s) shining spotlights on houses in the Schofield Street area.
  • Police received several reports about a person(s) allegedly breaking into vehicles. Police would like to urge residents to keep their vehicles locked at all times.
  • Police received parking complaints that occurred on State Street.
  • Police are investigating a possible incident of identity fraud.
  • Police arrested a male for allegedly possessing drugs and paraphernalia following a traffic stop.
  • Following an altercation that occurred in the IGA parking lot, a female was found to allegedly be under the influence of alcohol. She was subsequently arrested for DUI and related offenses.
  • Police reported a license plate was found in the Fuel On parking lot and returned to its owner.
  • Police received a report about an abandoned vehicle on George Street.

DuBois City

  • Police received a report about a male calling a business and claiming to represent Penelec. The caller advised an employee to get a pre-paid card to pay off their bill or the electric would be shut off. When they contacted Penelec with questions, they were advised it was a scam.
  • Police received a report about a suspicious situation on Williams Street. When police arrived at the scene, a woman stated she could hear someone knocking on her window and turning her door knob. Police checked the area and found everything to be OK.
